I facilitate a class of MBA students from the University of Oklahoma who are identifying their unique resources in order to choose and nurture a fulfilling and fruitful vocation (the course objective).

The better we understand our unique design and resources, the better we can use them to get specific and important things done that we are uniquely qualified to accomplish.

I ask the students in my Professional MBA class to complete a series of evaluations, assessments, and exercises that enable them to:

1.     Determine foundational values and write a personal Manifesto

2.     Develop a Vision for using unique resources to accomplish something meaningful

3.     Understand their Personality

4.     Understand how they instinctually Problem-Solve

5.     Articulate Strengths

6.     Identify Emotional Assets

7.     Identifying Intellectual Assets

8.     Build a Compass that serves as a decision-making aid

Each of us is unique in all of time.

Each of us was

born on a certain date,

to a particular set of parents,

in a specific place,

different from anyone else who has ever lived, or ever will.  And,

all of us have a different set of experiences from anyone else in all of history.

If you put your

particular history,

experiences,

passions,

talents,

abilities,

skills, and

knowledge together,

there is no one like you in history past or future.

I have greatly enjoyed getting to know the men and women in this summer’s course. I look forward to seeing how they use this deeper knowledge of themselves and their resources to lead in their organizations!
